Pebble Beach Golf Links is a public golf course on the West Coast of the United States, located in Pebble Beach, California.

Regarded by Travel and Leisure blog as one of the most beautiful courses in the world,[1] it hugs the rugged coastline and has wide open views of Carmel Bay, opening to the Pacific Ocean on the south side of the Monterey Peninsula. In 2001, it became the first public course to be selected as the No. 1 Golf Course in America by Golf Digest. Greens fees are among the highest in the world, at $625 (plus a $50 cart fee or a $150 caddie fee for non-resort guests) per round in 2023.[2]

Four of the courses in the coastal community of Pebble Beach, including Pebble Beach Golf Links, belong to the Pebble Beach Company, which also operates three hotels and a spa at the resort. The other courses are The Links at Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and Del Monte Golf Course.

The PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions play annual events at Pebble Beach, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the First Tee Open. It has hosted seven men's major championships: six U.S. Opens and a PGA Championship. It also hosted the 1988 Nabisco Championship, now known as the Tour Championship, the season-ending event on the PGA Tour. It hosted its first women's major championship, the 2023 U.S. Women's Open on July 6, 2023.[3] World-renowned, the course is included in many golf video games, such as the Links series and the PGA Tour series. Stunning Flower Fields

Lavender Fields

Our Main Field is home to over 30 acres of lavender, creating a sea of purple on a sunny hillside in summer. We are the largest lavender farm in the UK that allows visitors to pick lavender – you can purchase picking bags at the gate or when booking tickets. It’s the perfect spot to get fabulous photos of you and your loved ones, to enjoy delicious treats, and to soak up the natural goodness that only lavender can provide!

Just outside the Main Field, our 2-acre Display Field showcases around 60 different varieties of lavender. This area is free to visit and represents an excellent opportunity to see lavender in all shapes and colours – it’s not just purple you know!

Flowering season: mid-June to late August (weather dependent)

Sunflower Field

The perfect complement to our purple blanket of lavender, our golden sunflower field is located on the right-hand side of the Main Field. Visitors are welcome to pick sunflowers – these are charged by the stem.

Flowering season: August (weather dependent)

Wildflower Meadows

The Main Field currently has two dedicated areas for wildflowers – one at the top of the hill, and another part of our conservation area. The hundreds of wildflower varieties in these meadows are not only a treat for the eyes, they also provide food and shelter for many hundreds more insects, birds, and mammals.

Flowering season: June to July (weather dependent)

Delightful Food & Drink

Old Barn Tearoom

Our 17th century barn is the perfect place to unwind after exploring the fields. The tearoom serves hot food and drinks, homemade cakes, and has a children’s play area just outside. You will also find our main gift shop here, alongside a wide variety of lavender plants for sale.

Food Trucks in the Field

To keep you refreshed while enjoying everything the Main Field has to offer, a range of food outlets are available. The available outlets may vary depending on the time of day, but you will typically find ice cream, loaded fries, cakes, and a range of refreshing beverages to suit your needs!

And Much More…

Gift shops are available in both the Main Field and the Old Barn, stocking a range of own-brand products containing our own lavender alongside other locally sourced gifts.

Our museum pays homage to Hitchin’s long history of lavender growing, which dates back to the 1500s! Located next to the Old Barn, the museum takes you back into the world of the Victorian apothecary, informing visitors about the modern and ancient influences of lavender on our culture.

Alongside everything else, Hitchin Lavender is the proud home of a fantastic range of wildlife. Bees are a common sight at the height of summer, but you’ll also have chance to see butterflies, skylarks, swallows, and maybe even a hare or two!
